Katherine Hohn Boettcher graduated from the University of Santa Clara School of Law in 1995. Ms. Boettcher served for almost three years as a law clerk for the Honorable Judges Bridges, Small and Wardell in Washington State Superior Court. Katherine was an associate at the law firm of Jeffers Danielson Sonn & Aylward, PC., working primarily in real estate litigation. She later became in-house counsel for a real estate developer in Washington State.
After practicing law in Washington State, she returned to Oklahoma and joined Fred Boettcher Law where she is an advocate for people in need of Social Security Disability Insurance and Social Security Income. She also represents claimants fighting for their private disability insurance benefits. Ms. Boettcher is a Sustaining Member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and the American Bar Association.
Ms. Boettcher is a passionate advocate for children and people seeking justice. She worked on children’s issues in law school collaborating on a published paper, “Attachment 101 for Attorneys: Implications for Infant Placement Decisions” Ms. Boettcher was active in CASA helping children who are in the state’s dependency system. As well, she researched and wrote for the Honorable Leonard P. Edwards on issues involving children in the juvenile court system. Ms. Boettcher has also been involved in a variety of environmental issues striving to achieve a balance between stewardship of our American lands and the need to use its resources.
Katherine and her husband, Mike, have three children. Katherine is also an avid dog lover. She raises and shows Briards, of which several belonged to Therapy Dogs International. They visit retirement homes, Red Cross shelters and schools.
